     In 1972, he entered Hunan Normal University to study English and graduated in 1975。At the end of 1977, he went to Australia to study and returned to China in early 1980. He continued to teach in Hunan Normal University and was promoted to professor in 1994。In 2001, he was a senior visiting scholar in the United States。Since 1991, he has served as the deputy director and director of the Foreign Language Department of Hunan Normal University, the vice president of the School of Foreign Languages, the secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the university, and the vice president。
