Xie Ziqing, female, Han nationality, born in April 1966 in Xinshao, Hunan Province, member of Zhigong Party, Doctor of Science, second-class professor, doctoral supervisor, Institute of Applied Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Vice President of Hunan Normal University。

In 1987 and 1990, he received a bachelor's degree in basic mathematics and a Master's degree in computational Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics of Xiangtan University. After that, he served as a teaching assistant and lecturer successively. In 1996, he received a doctor's degree in Applied Mathematics from the Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences。He was promoted to associate professor in 1999, professor in 2003, and doctoral supervisor in 2006. He has been the director of the Key Laboratory of Computational and Stochastic Mathematics of the Ministry of Education since 2009 and the Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics since 2012。He has visited or lectured at Wayne State University, Texas A&M University, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, Technical University Dresden, Hong Kong Baptist University, Swedish-Swiss University and other well-known universities。He has been the deputy chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of Zhigong Party since 2017, and was elected as a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress in 2018。He served as Vice President of Hunan Normal University in January 2021。

His main research field is computational mathematics and scientific engineering calculation, and he has been engaged in the numerical solution of nonlinear partial differential equations, electromagnetic field calculation, finite element method, discontinuous finite element method and spectral method for a long time。He is also an expert in the evaluation of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, an expert in undergraduate education review and evaluation, a member of the Chinese Mathematical Society, a member of the Chinese Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, a vice chairman of the Hunan Mathematical Society, and the seventh chairman of the Hunan Society of Computational Mathematics Application Software。The department enjoys the special government allowance experts of The State Council, and the New Century excellent Talents support plan of the Ministry of Education。He is also the discipline leader of the national key cultivation of basic mathematics and the discipline leader of the domestic first-class construction of mathematics in Hunan Province。He presided over 8 National Natural Science Foundation projects, including 1 major research program cultivation project。In Math. Comput., SIAM J. Sci. Comput., SIAM J. Numer. Anal.He has published more than 70 papers in authoritative journals。In 2012, he won the first prize of Hunan Natural Science Award, the first prize of Hunan Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award in 2019, the scientific computing tutor team led by him was awarded the first "Excellent Graduate Tutor Team" in Hunan Province, and the second prize of the Eighth Overseas Chinese Community Contribution Award in 2020。
